For Alex Greeting.  Created on goldwave but used wrong sampling rate.  But just created a blank one with right sampling rate and copy and pasted the original onto the new one in goldwave.

Plug in mic to USB red jack.
Record message
  AUDIODEV=hw:1,0 rec name.ogg
TO hear message
  AUDIODEV=hw:0,0 play name.ogg

Normalize sound (make louder)
sudo sox bedford_greeting.ogg bedford_norm.wav norm -n

Convert to 2 channels because concatenation requires all parts to have same number of channels (break and beep are 2 channels).
sudo sox bedford_norm.wav bedford_norm_ch2.wav channels 2

To see info and # of channels:
  soxi name.ogg

To see stats
  sox name.ogg -n stat

sudo sox bedford_norm_ch2.wav break.wav beep3.wav bedford_greet.ogg


To convert m4a from phone to ogg file.

ffmpeg -i greeting_bedford.m4a -acodec libvorbis -aq 60 -vn -ac 2 greeting_bedford.ogg
